The Martingale vineyards are planted on the ancient and shallow grey-brown sandy loan soil found on the northern side of the valley.

as well as our Shiraz block are
conventionally planted with rows spaced at 2.5 metres and vine spacing at 1.5 metres.
The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir block 3 are close planted with vine spacing of only 1 metre, it is from these vineyards our single vineyard wines are fashioned.”
